How to trigger your memory
This is for those blank moments.
When you're trying to recall that word, what you did on the weekend or the name of that book you read a couple of years ago.
We are often so quick to brush it aside, maybe go straight to google but -
Sometimes we just need to take some time to visualise and recall associating information to...
Trigger it.
In your mind, ask yourself these questions:
Was the word or details written somewhere?
E.g. on an email, poster
VISUALISE THIS.
What else was going on at the time?
E.g. a conversation, listening to the radio, an event
VISUALISE THIS.
Where were you at the time?
E.g. in a particular room, outside in nature
VISUALISE THIS.
When was it?
E.g yesterday afternoon, a couple of years ago
VISUALISE THIS.
How did it come about?
E.g. weekend plans from a conversation, a word from a book
VISUALISE THIS.
Asking ourselves these questions will give our brain something to work with!
The key is to stay calm, breathe and take your time.
Until the moment of YES THAT'S IT!
If you don't get this moment this time around, it's all good too -
Going through the process alone rather than reverting straight to google for the answer will be doing your future brain good.
