The simplest 2 things to keep coming back to

I’ve mentioned these things before and I’m going to keep mentioning them.

This is for when we’re feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by our thoughts of having a ‘bad’ memory.

Or if we’re just having a totally blank moment.

Just keep coming back to these 2 things!

1. Breathe.

The quickest and easiest way to calm ourselves!

Plus it’s free and always at our fingertips - how can you beat that?

Take a moment to…

- Slowly breathe into your lower belly…

- Slowly breathe out….relaxing any tension you’re holding

Repeat as desired…

2. Believe.

NEWSFLASH: We get to choose our thoughts so why not choose helpful ones.

We can also really strengthen these chosen thoughts and beliefs by linking evidence.

- E.g. ‘I am ok’

Evidence = I get by in my day-to-day life pretty well

- E.g. ‘I have a good memory’

Evidence = I remembered this (….), this (….) and this (….) recently.

- E.g. ‘My memory is improving’

Evidence = remember when I’d got blank a lot more?
