3 questions to ask yourself when you’ve got a memory challenge

If there’s something we’re finding challenging, memory related or other, it’s easy for us to feel stuck and get consumed with worry.

Instead, keep asking yourself these 3 questions -

1. What am I finding challenging exactly?

E.g. ‘I find remembering names of new people I meet challenging’

2. Is it a challenge I actually want or need to overcome?

E.g. ‘Yes, as I want to build relationships with new people’

Or, ‘no, I am happy with the family and friends already in my life’

3. How can find help and/or start to work through this challenge?

E.g. ‘I can search online to find information on how to get better at this or speak to someone who is good at remembering names.

This is just one example!

There are obviously many -

Remembering a speech off by heart, remembering occasions or remembering a shopping list.

Someone else out there has gone through the same challenge as you.

So the answers are out there or they’re already in you -

They might not come to you or be clear straight away but just keep on asking the questions.

You’ll be amazed at how easy it gets over time, how it enables you to grow as a person and how it strengthens your mind and memory at the same time.
