Don’t stay small

Are you ‘staying small’ without even realising it?

I’m going to throw you a few questions to consider.

Because staying small means we keep our brain small and our life small.

I do not want this for you!

If you resonate with the following questions even by the slightest, then I’m going to give you a pep talk.

1. Do you hold back from saying what you think or feel in a conversations or meeting?

2. Do you walk the streets with your head down?

3. Do you go through your day as a slightly cooped up version of yourself?

4. Do you feel uncomfortable in photo’s?

5. Is your life generally following ‘the norm?’

Trust me, I can relate to all of this.

This has been me!

If you think it might be you too, I’m here to stay STOOOOP.

As the wise woman that is Adriene aka ‘Yoga with Adriene’ says -

(Paraphrasing)

‘We’re not serving anyone if we stay small.

We’re not serving ourselves.

And we’re not serving others.’

So what I want to suggest for you is to -

START UNFURLING.

It’s no overnight process that’s for sure.

But we all have to just start.

Say that one thing you’d like to say in the conversation.

Practice looking up and around when you’re walking down the street.

Then just keep taking one small step after another.

TRUST ME.

You will not regret it.

You will continue to thank yourself.

You may not even realise how far you’ve come until you look back…

Stepping into your power is not just for ‘extroverts’.

It doesn’t mean you have to dominate a stage.

It doesn’t mean you think you’re better than others.

It’s about knowing and establishing your boundaries.

It’s about not trying to hide yourself for fear of standing out.

It’s about being true to yourself and being proud of it.
